The need for GPS and location permission in the FanFest mobile application is related to the existence of geo-restricted events. These events require the continuous presence of the User within the designated physical space for the event. However, the User's position is never stored and is used only temporarily. The User's location never leaves their device and is dynamically used to validate the previously stated condition.
